The Coaster in the Maritime District

Right in the centre of Rotterdam and yet relatively quiet: the Maritime District. Here you will find the heritage harbours with many antique ships, the typical Rotterdam high-rise towers, several museums, the Old Harbour and the hippest and nicest eateries & bars. Our Bootique hotel "De Coaster" is in the middle of this, in the Wijnhaven.

Our 1909 vessel served as a cargo coastal vessel until the 1970s. Recently, we purchased the ship and upgraded it to luxury cabins equipped with all conveniences. You can reach all of the city's hotspots within minutes. The ship has three Cabins: Popeye's Cabin is located in the forward part of the ship. Olive's Cabin is in the middle section of the ship and Captain's Cabin with its brand new spacious wheelhouse in the aft section. The first 2 Cabins offer two rooms with 1 double bed, 1 sofa bed for 2 persons and 1 wide sofa bed for 1 person, the Captain's Cabin has 1 double bed. All Cabins are connected by double doors so parties of up to 12 people can stay with us just fine! Each cabin has its own kitchen and bathroom and of course the ship is equipped with excellent heating (and air conditioning in the stern) and you can enjoy the spacious sun-drenched terraces on top of the ship.

A luxurious Jacuzzi on the midship is available as an option for guests and is then for private use which will be coordinated by us with any other guests. We no longer sail with the ship, but if you want to paddle / float around, you can optionally use our dinghy Walli or our 2 cool Schiller pedal boats (can be used by two) at your own risk (do not go on the Meuse!;-). You can also request free use of a luxury gas outdoor kitchen/bbq and a bicycle with shopping basket, useful to get something in town.
